Tixel is the latest generation in skin rejuvenation technique. It has been used in Europe for 5 to 6 years. It is now FDA tested and approved for the United States. Pretty Little Lines is the only spa in Utah with this technology. It increases the development of new collagen. Tixel combines all of the benefits of laser and micro needling without the heavy price tag, less irritation, and there is minimal pain.
It's known for the following benefits:
Removal of wrinkles and fine lines
Tightening of the skin and removal of eyelid hooding
Acne scars
Minimizes large pore
Melasma
Active acne
Sun damage
Age spots
Treatment for rosacea
Tixel is done by stamping of a heated metallic plate with pyramid-shaped spikes on to the skin. This is not done with a laser. It uses thermo-mechanical enery to open tiny channels into the skin for up to 6 hours. This allows any topical that’s put on post procedure to penetrate deeper and act more effectively for the six hours the channel are opened. This will accelerate the over all healing process and production of new collagen.
Tixel treatments are applied using a handheld device. It's passed over the treatment area once or twice. Thermal heat is applied to the skin. Treatments will take 30 to 60 minutes. Results last between 1 to 5 years. Ask me how to extend the results.
Expect to feel sunburned for a few hours after treatment. It's possible swelling may appear around the eyes, but will go down quickly. Do not apply makeup for a minimum of 24 hours. Down time 24 to 48 hours or less.
