Microblading is a form of permanent makeup. It's a technique where semi-permanent tattooing is used to create the illusion of thicker and fuller eyebrows. Microblading has become hugely popular with women and men, due to it saving time we normally spend plucking, waxing, threading and filling in our eyebrows.
Microblading is done using a manual tattoo technique. Tiny hair-like strokes are made that allow the ink to penetrate the top layer of skin. It's suggested to have it touched up in one to two years. I use Bowler blades. These are the top of the line blades that produce long lasting effects.
Microblading requires precision. It can take 2 to 3 hours to complete. The first step is to create a mapping of the desired eyebrow shape. Bowler numbing creme is applied to the area where the technique will be applied. The final step is applying the ink.
A combo brow is a combination of two types of semi-permanent techniques. It combines microblading and shading (known as powder brows). It's done using a tattoo machine. This results in a natural look and allows your artist to completely customize the look.
An after care kit is included with brow treatments. The kit is made up of Bowler products. These are the highest quality products available. You will need to rinse your brows with the aftercare soap 2 times a day for 10 days and apply the aftercare balm. It's important that you don't touch the healing area. It will take up to 30 days for the healing to complete.
Brow lamination is essentially a perm for your eyebrows, this is a great treatment for unruly brows! It smooths out the brows while lifting the hair in a more vertical direction the treatment results in fluffier fuller looking eyebrows tint can be added during the procedure, and will last 2-4 weeks. The lamination itself will last 8 to 10 weeks.
We also offer waxing and tinting for brows!
Microblading is a permanent makeup that is appllies a pigment into your skin. It simulates the appearance of a natural eyebrow. It's a natural enhancement to your existing eyebrows. Microblading differs from other permanent makeup techniques. Each hair stroke is created by hand. This results in a more natural look. Micoblading will last up to two years. It will need to be touched up.
Prior to the treatment, a topical is applied to the skin. This reduces most of the pain. However, some customers do report an uncomfortable feeling.
Not everyone is a good canidate for microblading. You should not undergo this treatment if the following applies to you:
Pregnant
History of epilepsy or seizure
Prescribed Accutane or blood thinners
Sunburned
Diagnosed eczema
Undergoing cancer treatment
Flu or cold
The first session will take 2 to 3 hours. This includes the consultation, mapping out the area for the brows, and the procedure.
Microblading is meant to fade over time. There are several factors that can contribute to early fading. These factors include skin type, life style, metabolism, and skin pigment. The sun and tanning bed can cause early fading.
Any eyebrow plucking, waxing, and threading should be done at least 3 days in advance. Do not use any Retinol, anti-aging, or acne products for 2 weeks before your appointment. Do not use Botox, laser treatments 2 weeks prior to your treatment.
For best results do not exercise, take any medications, drink alcohol, or caffeine prior to your treatment.
What if I have oily skin?
For clients that have oily skin, it's suggested to use combo brow. Oily skin and large pours can cause stokes to blur
What if I am a smoker?
Smoking can cause the brows to heal pourly. It can result in patchy ink and early fading.
What if I have Anemia?
Your body will absorb the pigment more quickly. It will require you to get a touch up sooner
Expect to have a feeling of sunburn on the treated area. Your new brows will appear dark and defined. This typically clears up in 5 to 8 days.
In 6-10 weeks you will need to come in for a touch up and any adjustments.
